Earlier this week [Creative Commons Australia](http://creativecommons.org.au), in conjunction with the [OAK Law project](http://www.oaklaw.qut.edu.au) and the [ARC Centre of Excellence for Creative Industries and Innovation](http://www.cci.edu.au), played host to Mia Garlick, General Counsel of [Creative Commons](http://creativecommons.org) in San Francisco. While she was here, Mia met with a number of representatives of Australian universities, government and industry. This included participating in a full day seminar-workshop on the Creative Commons project with QUT researchers and representatives of the Queensland Government. Mia’s visit provided a valuable opportunity for the CC-AU team to learn more about recent developments in Creative Commons and discuss potential projects for its further implementation in Australia.
