fancy yourself a bit of a VJ then gov’ner?

BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra have today launched a competition for VJs to build a three minute mix from the BBC clips available on the BBC Creative Archive. Shouldn’t be too hard given that the Archive has hundreds of video clips to download!

The best mix will win £250 to spend on VJing equipment and the chance to VJ live to a mix of their choice on these radio stations.

ccMixter goes open source

recently creative commons’ online music community, ccMixter switched over to the GPL-licensed ccHost codebase, with soruce now available from SourceForge.

Like all celebs, the site has had a face lift, and she’s looking hot. There are new features and better functionality based on careful studies of how it was being used in its first year.

And don’t worry, all the music, reviews and profile info is still there. for full details of the change over go to the forum post
