DEEDI and QPS websites licensed under CC BY

There is no shortage of Australian government agencies and departments adopting open access policies , and we’re glad to showcase two Queensland examples – the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI) and the Queensland Police Service (QPS).

DEEDI has recently updated its website copyright page, specifying CC BY 3.0 Australia as the default licence for all information on the website. QPS had previously applied the CC BY 2.5 Australia licence (2.5 being the current version at that time) to material on its website.

We congratulate DEEDI and QPS, and look forward to seeing more of these examples in government.
